History of JOY TV
Our founder, Jeanette Joy Fisher, built Joy Publications in 2003 to help sell real estate and interior design books and textbooks. She learned Attraction Marketing and enabled her friends to publish books. She traveled the world interviewing charities, movements, and entrepreneurs. In 2007, she began “tweeting her life away.” She met celebrities and founders of budding ideas. Invited to exotic lands like Turkey, Greece, and Australia, she met amazing people helping others. Fisher shared their stories on social media and YouTube videos on the JOY TV Channel.
As a real estate agent and Design Psychology Pro, Fisher advertised her business on the largest real estate listing website. Her annual contract, renewed for three years, cost $2,800 monthly. The property platform sold her territory to 17 other agents in the third year. The zip code only averaged ten sales a month. This financial fiasco sparked the idea of advertising her business on JOY TV’s channel on YouTube. One drone video she paid for was all it took to get the missing leads replaced. Because of her books and online activity, Fisher was invited to speak on Blumberg Radio and other drivetime radio shows. She then was on national TV news shows as a guest on flipping houses. The Fisher family appeared on The Learning Channel’s (TLC) Flip That House. Being on TLC helped to sell her real estate books in the early 2000s. Her books, now out-of-date, helped establish JOY Publications and JOY TV Network.
Fisher’s vision of JOY TV Network includes Lifestyle and Home & Gardens shows on demand, programmed, and live. Using today’s technology, anyone can share their story on worldwide TV. Authors, Artists, Musicians, Entrepreneurs, Interior Designers, and Real Estate Professionals, Tiny House & ADU Builders, and Environmentalists are encouraged to see the guidelines for participation. We’re excited to see you on Roku❣️
About JOY TV Shows
Categories include Lifestyle and Home & Garden programs. These entertaining and informational short documentaries, generally 20 to 30 minutes, can be up to one hour or 90 minutes. Most viewers, while on their phones, see our post about one of JOY TV’s shows and click on the enticing image. Roku sees this and asks them if they want to turn on their smart TV. They agree to a few minutes but are reluctant to say yes to most hour-long shows. However, when off their phone, they sit back and watch three 30-minute shows.
